¯ Alixandrea R. Thomas, of 232 N. Seventh St., Marietta, reported June 19 that a ring and other jewelry were taken from her home. An officer was dispatched to Tim Horton’s, 118 N. Seventh St., in reference to the theft to speak with Thomas. Further investigation found that Ryan C. Beardsley, of 104 Wood St., Marietta, had taken the ring and other jewelry but returned some of it to the victim’s home. A warrant was issued for Beardsley’s arrest.
¯ Tanner S. Rice, of 308 Cats Creek Road, Lowell, reported June 19 the unauthorized use of his vehicle. Rice stated that an acquaintance asked to borrow the vehicle but failed to return it.
¯ An officer was dispatched to Walmart, 804 Pike St., Marietta, in reference to a shoplifting complaint on June 19. After an investigation, Dale Robert McDaniels II, homeless, was located, arrested and charged with theft. McDaniels stated that he was homeless and needed food to survive. The total value of stolen items, including beer, soda, candy and chewing gum, was $286.06.
¯ An officer was dispatched June 20 to assist with transport of Derek D. Oldfield, of 713 Ninth St., Marietta. Oldfield was taken to the Washington County Jail on a holder for violating house arrest and was charged with escape.
¯ On Thursday, an officer stopped Ashley V. Wood, of 94 Maynard Drive, Little Hocking, in the 200 block of Pike Street. Upon verifying Wood’s license, it was determined that she had an active warrant through Louisiana for probation violation, original offense possession of meth. Wood was arrested for being a fugitive from justice.
¯ Mitchem Group Rentals, 209 Scammel St., reported Thursday the theft of a stove and refrigerator from 728 1/2 Fifth St., Apt. B. An investigation is ongoing.
¯ An officer was dispatched to 1237 Cisler Drive Thursday in reference to a DOA complaint. After investigation it was determined the 71-year-old male was deceased at his home. Foul play is not suspected. The deceased was transported to a local funeral home.
¯ Rosalyn L. Starr reported Thursday a theft or burglary that occurred at 101 Theis Ave., Lot 19. The victim stated that someone had entered a residence via unknown means and stolen two wallets that were inside the residence.
¯ An officer was dispatched to Walmart, 804 Pike St., Marietta, Thursday, in reference to a theft. The suspect, identified as Dillon Anderson, of 712 Fifth St., Marietta, was trying to make a fraudulent return and was arrested, advised of his court date and released on a personal recognizance bond.
¯ Marietta Memorial Hospital, 401 Matthews St., reported an unruly patient on Friday. Upon arrival, officers made contact with medical staff who advised that Bryanna Sabatino, of 127 Ohio Ave., Marietta, had forcefully vomited and spit on hospital equipment and at staff. After being medically cleared to leave the facility, Sabatino continued to spit on hospital property. She was arrested for disorderly conduct and transported to the Washington County Jail.
¯ On Friday, officers were dispatched to 813 Quarry St., Marietta, in reference to a disturbance. Eric Farnsworth stated that his brother, Tyler Clark, of 713 Ninth St., Marietta, struck him with a candle in the back. After investigation, Clark was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.
¯ Kevin B. Guckert, of 813 Quarry St., Marietta, reported Saturday the theft of lawn equipment from his home, valued at $500. The case remains under investigation.
¯ On Saturday, officers responded to the Red Roof Inn, 702 Pike St., Marietta, in reference to a disturbance. Rayshawn Wallace, of 1388 E. 43rd St., Apt. 3, Cleveland, had been witnessed pulling a female victim around by the hair, hitting her and threatening her with a knife.
¯ Officers responded Saturday to the 200 block of Maple Street in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Officers stopped the vehicle in reference to an expired plate and used a K-9 officer to conduct a check for narcotics. The K-9 indicated the presence of methamphetamine and cocaine. The passenger, identified as Carrie Ann Streight, of 810 Washington Square, Marietta, was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail.
¯ On Sunday, an officer stopped a vehicle in the 200 block of Phillips Street. The occupants of the backseat was observed to be nervous and shaking. A K-9 officer was deployed to search the vehicle and it was discovered that Ronald Eugene Blair, of 30530 Lebanon Road, Lower Salem, was in possession of a hypodermic syringe. Blair stated he used the syringe to administer drugs earlier in the day. He was charged with possessing drug abuse instruments.
¯ On Monday, the Marietta Police Department received a complaint of an alleged sex crime. The case is under investigation.
¯ An officer was dispatched Monday to 102 Grandview Ave., Marietta in reference to a theft complaint. John Ryan Nicholas, of 29519 Imperial Creek Road, Harris, Texas, reported the theft of a motorcycle that occurred sometime between the month of May and the prior evening of the report. The motorcyle was described as a 1982 Can-Am MX-6, 400CC 2-stroke dirt bike. The investigation is ongoing.
¯ On Sunday, a deputy responded to 2991 Righteous Ridge Road, Waterford and advised of a subject passed out in a Polaris Rzr, which was partially in the roadway. Contact was made with Austin Tullius, who was asleep in the driver’s seat of the Rzr with the key in the ignition. A strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected on Tullius. In the cab of the side by side were two beers including one open in the cup holder. In the back was a cooler with multiple beers and empty beer cans. Austin Chance Tullius, 23, of 50 Flint Run Road, Waterford, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail for physical control while under the influence and driving under OVI suspension.
¯ The Little Hocking Volunteer Fire Department Squad responded Monday to a call of an unresponsive male.
¯ A deputy responded Monday to a possible domestic violence report. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.
¯ Monday, a deputy began an investigation into an assault that occurred in Barlow Township. The parties did not wish further investigation and refused to prosecute.
¯ A deputy and the Reno Volunteer Fire Department responded to 425 County House Lane to a vehicle fully engulfed. The fire was extinguished by the fire department and this case is closed.
