¯ A deputy began an investigation on July 3 in reference to stolen medications from a resident. This case remains under investigation.

¯ Thomson’s Landscaping, 26130 State Route 7, Marietta, reported an employee theft on Friday. Deputies learned that a report showed a number of refunds for cash, which were fraudulent. Jessica Ryan English, 38, of 311 Virginia St., Marietta, was arrested on an unrelated warrant and also charged with theft and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

¯ Amy Sparks, of 2020 Robinson Hill Road, Marietta, reported a Honda 4 wheeler and a Canam 4 wheeler stolen from her residence on July 3. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A deputy responded to 165 Starlight Drive Lot 30, Marietta, on July 3 for a report of domestic violence. It was reported that Jerad Key’s son, Matthew Key, had been drinking heavily and started a confrontation with Jerad. Investigation revealed Jerad had struck Matthew in the face and Matthew had been drinking a large amount of alcohol on this date. Matthew Jerad Key, 18, of 1629 Cook Road, Oak Grove, La., was placed under arrest for underage consumption. Jerad W. Key, 41, same address, was charged with domestic violence. Both were transported to the Washington County Jail for processing. Matthew tested .178 on PBT upon arrival at the jail.

¯A deputy was dispatched to 693 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, on July 4 for a reported domestic dispute between Douglas Wriston and Sarah Lightner. Investigation revealed Wriston had poured a small amount of water on Lightner when she kept falling asleep, trying to get her to wake up. Lightner became angry and head-butted, punched and choked Wriston. Lightner also pulled out a sword and attempted to stab Wriston. Wriston requested a protection order be issued. A warrant is being requested through Marietta Municipal Court for Sarah M. Lightner, 36, for felonious assault, a second-degree felony.

¯A deputy responded to Ludlow Township on July 4 for a possible domestic incident. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.

¯ A deputy was dispatched to 204 Ferry St., Beverly, on July 4 to meet with Richard Flood. Flood had called the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center 26 times on July 3 and 15 times on July 4. Flood has been advised numerous times not to call the sheriff’s office if there is not an emergency. Flood asked if he was going to jail and when told yes, went back into the home after being told not to return inside. Flood refused to listen to instructions given by the deputy, and continued to kick and scream. Richard Carl Flood, 52, was placed under arrest and charged with resisting arrest and telephone harassment, and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

¯ A deputy conducted a traffic stop July 5 on a vehicle driven by Marrilee K. Hatziantoniou, of 25236 Chase Drive, North Olmstead. An odor of marijuana was detected at which time passenger Gage N. Ellis admitted to smoking marijuana in the vehicle and having a small amount of marijuana remaining. The deputy located container and bags which contained marijuana and partially smoked marijuana blunts. Both Ellis and Hatziantoniou admitted ownership of the contraband. A summons is being requested for Marrilee Katelyn Hatziantoniou, 18, and Gage Nicholas Ellis, 19, of 23993 Gessner Road, North Olmsted, for possession of marijuana.

¯ On July 5, a deputy responded to the Ohio 339 Park and Ride, Belpre, in reference to Rachael Bernice Campbell being at that location and there being warrants for her arrest. Campbell had fled on foot from the area but was located on the Corridor D bridge off ramp. Campbell was placed under arrest on the warrants and upon checking her belongings two syringes were located, one with an unknown substance. Campbell denied the syringes were her, stating someone put them in her belongings. Campbell, 34, of 5380 Johnson Ridge Road, Waterford, was placed under arrest and charged with drug abuse instruments along with the warrants.

¯ On July 5, a deputy, along with the Dunham and Little Hocking volunteer fire departments, responded to the George Ruth home to a report of a truck on fire.

¯ A deputy was dispatched to 1308 Williamson Ave., Apt. 1B, New Matamoras, Friday in reference to an active domestic dispute between Latasha Johnson and Sherman Larrimore II. Johnson said she and Larrimore were in a verbal argument that escalated into Larrimore grabbing Johnson and throwing her to the ground. Larrimore also reportedly straddled Johnson and struck her in the face. Sherman Lee Larrimore, Jr., 36, was placed under arrest for domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony, and transported to the Washington County Jail.

¯ A deputy responded to 3156 State Route 555, Little Hocking, Friday for a report of domestic violence. Katelyn Cain reported Isaiah Mayle came to the residence to pick up some belongings, and started throwing items all over the bedroom, as well as damaging items belonging to Cain. Cain said she was afraid for her safety. Isaiah Scott Mayle, 21, of 1831 McNeal Road, Waterford, was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence.

¯ On Saturday, a deputy initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Teia Boxberger and passenger as Edward Thompson. Boxberger explained she had no valid operator’s license. Boxberger further advised she had a box of needles but claimed they were for a medical condition. In checking the box of needles there were multiple baggies with residue, including one baggie with suspected methamphetamine. Teia Maria Boxberger, 36, homeless, was placed under arrest for possession of methamphetamine and possessing drug abuse instruments. Edward James Thompson Jr., 34, of 2065 Robinson Hill Road, Marietta, was placed under arrest on a warrant for theft.

¯ Deputies responded to 1910 State Route 550, Cutler, on Saturday for a report of a felonious assault. The Wesley Volunteer Fire Department Squad was also dispatched regarding a child being shot with a pellet gun. Caitlin Ruble reported she was putting her child in a relative’s car when she observed Aaron Goins standing outside the residence at 1830 State Route 550 pointing what she believed to be a pellet gun at her. Ruble advised she heard a shot and then her child started screaming and crying. Ruble stated she then located a mark on the child’s left knee. Deputies did observe a laceration and red mark on the child’s knee. After speaking with all witnesses and meeting with Goins, he denied shooting the child and then made threats to Ruble. Aaron Christopher Goins, 46, was placed under arrest for aggravated menacing, disorderly conduct and felonious assault.

¯ A deputy responded to 482 Morris Loop Road, Marietta, on Sunday regarding a verbal dispute between George Harris and Dorothy Prince. Harris explained Dorothy was intoxicated and that is why they were arguing. Prince became loud and began cursing at deputies, after being asked to calm down several times. Prince continued being loud and cursing and was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct by intoxication. Dorothy Jean Prince, 40, of 12395 County Road 9, Newport, was was transported to the Washington County Jail where she refused to submit to a PBT.

¯ Tiera Arnold Worstell, of 2429 Veto Road, Vincent, reported Sunday that a trailer and five kayaks were removed from her property. This case remains under investigation.

¯ On Tuesday, an investigation by a detective began at the Washington County Jail regarding possible sexual assaults by a female inmate. The investigation revealed Rachel Kay Sweet was brought to the Washington County Jail on a charge of theft and criminal damaging. It was reported that Sweet had touched other incarcerated women inappropriately, and had exposed herself to others. Sweet who admitted to the allegations. Two counts of sexual imposition charges were filed on Rachel Kay Sweet, 25, of 219 Grand Ave., Akron.

Arrests/Washington County

The following people were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

¯ Frederick Gale McKitrick, 36, homeless, was arrested on warrants for failure to appear, three counts, felonies, theft, obstructing official business, criminal trespass, breach of recognizance and contempt of court, misdemeanors.

¯ Zachery Ryan Ferguson, 23, of 98 Boaz Garden Drive, Apt. 39, Williamstown, was arrested on probation violation, a felony.

¯ Vashun Dmond Logan, 28, of 15 Milton Drive, Greenville, S.C., was arrested for speed and driving while under the influence of alcohol, misdemeanors.

¯ Debra Lynn Butcher, 48, of 134 Hayes St., Delaware, was arrested on a warrant for driving under suspension, a misdemeanor.

¯ Kylie Sue Sealey, 19, of 1541 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, was arrested for breach of recognizance and theft, misdemeanors.

¯ Chastity Ann Carver, 42, of 1020 Caywood Road, Marietta, was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court, a misdemeanor.

¯ David Andreas Decker, 25, of 522 ¢ Third St., Marietta, was arrested for domestic violence and breach of recognizance, misdemeanors.

¯ Samantha Claudette Lemon, 36, of 504 West St., Belpre, was arrested on a warrant for trafficking in drugs, a felony, and three counts of driving under suspension, three counts of expired plates, fictitious plate, misdemeanors.

¯ Michael Kevin Price, 48, of Weil Street, Bethlehem, Pa., was arrested on warrants for probation violation, breach of recognizance and theft, misdemeanors.
