Washington State Community College Honors Employees and Retirees at Annual Luncheon
In May, Washington State Community College (WSCC) held its annual Employee Appreciation Luncheon. Honored at the luncheon were staff who had reached their fifth, 10th, 15th, or 20th year of employment with the college. Seven retirees were also honored at the luncheon.
One of the employees recognized for five years of service was Teresa Beach, a receptionist at the information desk in the main building. “I started working at WSCC July 17, 2006 through Kelly Services as the evening shift receptionist, and was then hired at WSCC in May of 2008,” she recalled. “I enjoy my job at WSCC. It is very rewarding, especially watching students go from taking classes to graduating and reaching their goals,” she added.
Sue Murdock, director of Human Resources, also provided her thoughts on her five years at WSCC. “The last five years have flown by for me,” she said. “I greatly enjoy my job at WSCC,” she continued, “especially working with the dedicated employees who work so hard to provide a quality education to our students.” Altogether, 22 employees and seven retirees were recognized at the luncheon.
Employees recognized for 20 years of service were Paula Johnson, Karen Poorman, Donna Muntz, and Darla Boone. Both John Richardson and Patty Zakowski have been employed at WSCC for 15 years.
Theresa Huck, David Edwards, Joanna Burt, Terri Gabbert, Marcie Arnold, and Robert Wilson were recognized for 10 years of service at WSCC.
Troy Devol, Kenneth Weppler, Elizabeth Ruth, Liz Johnson, Sue Mentink, Teresa Beach, Stacie Manter, Jennifer Brower, Sue Murdock, and Andrea Richardson were acknowledged for five years of service to the college.
This year’s retirees include Diane Dudzinski, Gary Dye, Diana Eesley, Georgene Johnson, Mike Whitnable, Gail Reynolds, and Robert Feathers. WSCC is grateful of all of its wonderful employees who are dedicated to providing the best of service to students.
