Tri-State celebrates 90th anniversary

Spanning 90 years and three generations of leadership, the Tri-State/Service Roofing & Sheet Metal Group celebrates its landmark 90th anniversary. Tri-State Roofing & Sheet Metal Company in Parkersburg is one of thirteen Tri-State/Service Group offices. The company has installed well over 1 billion square feet of roofing.

Tri-State began as a small built-up roofing business in Wheeling, West Virginia in 1923. Today, it is a regional specialty contractor known for technical and engineering expertise in all types of roofing systems, sheet metal fabrication, and HVAC/mechanical systems.

According to Parkersburg President JT Thomas, the experience gained as a result of its longevity is a large part of its continued success.

“Experience is the number one attribute that has set us apart from other contractors. We specify and install time-tested, field-proven materials based on our decades of experience on the roof. People trust us.

Tri-State Roofing & Sheet Metal projects include work on historic landmarks and buildings requiring specialty construction experience with traditional materials like slate, tile, and copper, including restoration of the Kanawha County Courthouse tile roof, re-roofing of the copper-roofed Springhouse at the Greenbrier, and many projects at West Virginia University.
