Home health nurse accepted into Gentiva program
Jackie Benton, RN, has been awarded membership into Gentiva Health Services’ Clinical Ladder Program, for her clinical excellence in their practice as a Home Health Nurse. The Clinical Ladder program recognizes and rewards exemplary clinicians and acceptance is based on rigorous criteria that evaluate the clinician’s clinical practice, care outcomes, and professional development.
“Jackie’s acceptance into the program is a testament to her hard work and dedication to clinical excellence,” said DK Farley, Gentiva’s branch director in Parkersburg. “We are very proud that her commitment and special efforts have been recognized by the company.”
The Clinical Ladder consists of six possible levels of achievement for Gentiva’s registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists and social workers. The requirements for attaining membership are rigorous and include meeting several criteria at each level. Clinicians must recertify every three years to remain in the program or to move to a higher level.
“We are pleased to offer this program, which we feel is important for attracting and retaining a high caliber of clinician,” said Gentiva’s Chief Clinical Officer, Charlotte Weaver, R.N., Ph.D. “The clinicians who make the effort to become part of the Clinical Ladder serve as mentors and role models and are an inspiration to their colleagues.”
