Camden Clark’s organ donation promotion efforts awarded
Camden Clark Medical Center was recently recognized by Lifeline of Ohio Organ Procurement (LOOP) for its efforts in promoting organ, eye and tissue donation in 2013.
Kathy Warhola, LOOP regional representative, presented the 2013 Donate Life West Virginia Hospital Challenge Award to Camden Clark CEO and President Mike King.
The award was part of a nationwide campaign championed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Participating hospitals conducted awareness and registry campaigns to educate staff, patients, visitors, and community members about the critical need for organ, eye, and tissue donors and, by doing so, increased the number of potential donors in the West Virginia Donor Registry.
Hospitals earned points for each activity planned between April 2013 and August 2013 and were awarded a gold, silver, or bronze recognition depending on their level of participation through the Donate Life West Virginia Hospital Challenge campaign.
Camden Clark Medical Center was among a select group of hospitals earning a gold award for its promotional campaign.
