Belpre Senior Center sends farewell to longtime manager
Becky Hennen, manager of the Belpre Senior Center, is retiring after more than 10 years with the organization. Hennen is known among the seniors for her warm, inviting personality and talented cooking skills. The Belpre Senior Center has served more than 1,000 adults in the past 10 years and achieved more than 20,000 service units in 2018 under Hennen’s guidance.
“Becky joined the O’Neill Center team on the cusp of entering into the management agreement with the City of Belpre. She has been instrumental in the growth and expansion at the Belpre Senior Center. I truly appreciate all Becky has done and wish her many happy years of enjoying what’s to come in the next chapter of her life. I will certainly miss working with Becky,” O’Neill Center Executive Director Connie Huntsman.
The staff and seniors of the Belpre and O’Neill Senior Centers cherish the memories made with Becky over the past 10 years. Hennen is being succeeded by Bonnie McGowan and Huntsman expects the transition to be seamless. The seniors should not notice any major changes.
Members of the Belpre Senior Club have arranged a retirement reception for Hennen to be held at the Belpre Senior Center on May 30.
