Wetz celebrates employees, 80 years of service to community

R.O. Wetz Transportation and Wetz Warehousing recently celebrated 80 years of service with a company picnic held at Masonic Park. Employees and their families were treated to a catered dinner, activities for the kids, doorprize drawings and gifts for each employee.

Employees with significant years of service anniversaries are:

¯ Bob McElfresh celebrated 42 years of service with R.O. Wetz Transportation. Bob lives in Marietta with his wife Peggy. He has two children, Matt and Josh, and four grandchildren, Shelby, Matthew, Maggie and Miles. Bob enjoys pulling garden tractors and spending time with his grandchildren.

¯ Leroy Jones celebrated 40 years of service with R.O. Wetz Transportation. Leroy lives in Marietta with his wife Tammy. He has two children, Daniel and Scott, and six grandchildren, Paige, Slayden, Hayden, Camrie, Wrangler and Josephine. He enjoys race cars and dirt track racing and spending time with the grandkids.

¯ Rich Duley celebrated 27 years of service with Wetz Warehousing. Rich lives in Parkersburg with his wife Terry. He has two children, Austin and Terry, and a granddaughter, Chloe. He loves to hunt, fish and ride side-by-sides.

¯ Jamie Antill celebrated 22 years of service with Wetz Warehousing. Jamie lives in Belpre and has one daughter, Autumn. They enjoy hunting and fishing together.

¯ Bob Britton celebrated 21 years of service with Wetz Warehousing.

¯ Dave Modesitt celebrated 16 years of service with R.O. Wetz Transportation. He lives in Parkersburg with his wife Audrey. They have four children, Heather, Thomas, Jay and Gary Joe II and eight grandchilren, Isaac, Erinn, Eli, Rylee, Mason, Athena, Skylar and Gary Joe III. He enjoys wood working, golf and fishing.

¯ Mickey Stevens celebrated 15 years of service with Wetz Warehousing. She lives in Marietta and has three children, Tabetha Carpenter, Heath Stevens and Caitlin Hockenberry, and six grandchildren. She enjoys cooking, sewing, painting and most of all, spending time with family and friends.
