Level 2 snow advisory in Washington County

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has declared a level 2 snow advisory.

That means roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow, and only people who feel it is necessary to drive should be on the road. The sheriff’s office advises people to contact their employer to see if they should report to work.

Area law enforcement reported some accidents related to the snow, but nothing serious.

Local schools called off classes Friday due to the snow that fell Thursday and in anticipation of the snow today.
