Vincent thrift store having $2 bag sale

The thrift store of the Western Washington County Food Pantry, 18 High St., Vincent will hold a $2 a bag sale from Monday through March 7. Summer clothes will be ready March 25. Hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and 1 to 4 and 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday.

Children Services board meets Monday

The Washington County Children Services board will meet in special session at 5:30 p.m. Monday at 204 Davis Ave.

Democratic women meeting planned

The next meeting of the Washington County Democratic Women’s Club will be Thursday at the Marietta VFW on Pike Street. The gathering will begin at 11:30 a.m. with the business meeting at noon. There will be a recap of possible changes to Social Security and effects it could have and an update on Democratic candidates running in the November election as well as a presentation about Ohio House Bill 5. All Democratic women residing in Washington County are invited to attend.

WSCC trustees to meet Monday

The Washington State Community College board of trustees will hold its monthly meeting at 4 p.m. Monday in the Center for Business in Technology, Room 103, on the college campus.

Meeting to discuss natural resources

The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will hold a public meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday in the St. Ambrose Catholic Church meeting hall, 5080 School House Road, Little Hocking. The purpose of the meeting is to allow the staff of Natural Resource Specialist to share the opportunities available to assist in the best management of land and its natural resources. The meeting is aimed toward residents of southwestern Washington County, including Belpre, Decatur and Dunham townships.

Pageant details at Warren High School

An informational meeting about the Warren High School Choral Department Little Mr. and Little Miss Warrior Contest and Pretty Baby Contest will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Warren High School. Tickets will be distributed. Those attending should bring the entry fee of $20 for contests, which will be held March 16 in the Warren High School auditorium. Registration starts at 10 a.m. The Pretty Baby contest begins at 10:30 a.m. with the Mr. and Miss contest to follow.
