Frontier’s Kidder a finalist for new job

Frontier Local Superintendent Bruce Kidder is a finalist for the same position at a Cincinnati-area school district.

Kidder is one of four candidates scheduled to be interviewed March 27 by the Finneytown Local Board of Education and to appear at a community forum on April 2, according to a Hilltop Press article.

“I’m looking at my career options,” Kidder told The Marietta Times Thursday. “It has nothing to do with being unhappy or unsatisfied with being superintendent at Frontier.”

Kidder was hired as the Frontier superintendent in 2009 and received a contract extension in 2011 through the 2014-15 school year. His annual salary is $77,847.

Kidder has applied for other jobs during his tenure at Frontier. He was one of four candidates interviewed last year for the Washington County Career Center superintendent position. Jeff Lauer, a member of both the Frontier and career center boards, acknowledged at the time the salary at the center was a “step up” from the local district.
