Sewer repairs in the Phillips Street area
The Marietta Wastewater Department will be making repairs to the sanitary sewer in the area of 909 and 911 Phillips St. beginning Monday. The 900 block of Phillips Street will be closed to parking and traffic between Wells and Ingleside streets. Repairs are expected to be completed by Friday but partial closure may extend through the weekend.

Warren board to meet on Monday
There will be special meetings of the Warren Local Board of Education at 6 p.m. Monday and 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Warren Administration Office, 220 Sweetapple Road, Vincent, for the purpose of interviewing candidates for the superintendent’s position in executive session.
There will be a special meeting at 9 a.m. June 8 at Warren High School, 130 Warrior Drive, Vincent, for the purpose of interviewing candidates for the superintendent’s position in a community format. The meeting may also include an executive session.
Fundraiser to help pageant contestant
A spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Gilman United Methodist Church fellowship hall. The event will raise money for competition expenses for Courtney Griffiths, a state finalist in the National Miss Pageant, competing for the Jr. Teen Ohio title on June 30 and July 1 in Columbus. Village of Beverly meeting schedule
The June Village of Beverly committee meetings will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The regular council meeting will be held at 7 p.m. June 12. The Board of Public Affairs meeting will be held at 5 p.m. June 26.
Archaeology dig at The Castle Sunday
Archaeologist Wes Clarke will present his recent discoveries from his archeology dig in The Castle’s side yard at 4 p.m. Sunday at The Castle, 418 Fourth St., Marietta. The cost is $5.
Beverly Eagles is hosting a dinner
The Beverly Eagles will hold a beef and noodle dinner at 5:30 p.m. Friday. The cost is $7, which includes dessert. For carry out, call 984-4733.
