Devola Community Day is planned
The third annual Devola Community Day will be held July 27 at the park by the Devola Pool, 820 River Road. The day will start at 8 a.m. with a yard sale. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. there will be carnival games, live music from High Schools That Rock, food, a soccer clinic and a country store. Child identification cards will be available from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Proceeds will go toward future improvements to the playground.

Fish fry and auction in Beverly
The Beverly Eagles will hold an all-you-can-eat fish fry at 5:30 p.m. July 26. The cost is $8. For carry out, call 984-4733. The ladies auxiliary will hold a Chinese Auction and Susan G. Komen 3-Day participant walker Staci Spung will be selling cash raffle tickets and Avon basket tickets during the fish fry. A drawing for auction, cash and basket will be held after the fish fry.

Car wash to benefit Waterford students
Waterford High School Student Council will hold a car wash from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 29 at Waterford Elementary. The cost is a donation to the student council fund.
River City Comic-Con July 28
The River City Comic Con Comic Book & Collectible Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 28 at the Lafayette Hotel in Marietta. Admission is $2 for adults, and free for children 8 and younger. Those attending can meet local comic creators, and there will be hourly door prizes and a costume contest.
Breakfast at Knights of Columbus
An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 28 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 312 Franklin St., Marietta. There will be pancakes, French toast and sausage. Country store items will be available. The breakfast will support the ARC summer camp for youth with developmental disabilities. The cost is a donation.
