Women’s aux. to host dinner
The Wesley Township Volunteer Fire Department’s women’s auxiliary will hold a smorgasbord from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the fire station in Bartlett. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. The menu will include ham loaf and Italian chicken.
Downtown gallery holds studio tour
The Riverside Artists Gallery will have the second annual Artist Studio Tour from noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 22. The tour is self-guided and includes four artist’s studios and the gallery to see 10 different artists demonstrating their art. Tickets with maps are available in advance for $8 at the Riverside Artists Gallery and Parkersburg Art Center and at any studio location the day of the tour for $10. Refreshments will be served at Riverside Artists Gallery, 219 Second St., Marietta.

Friday night open swims at Ewing
Ewing School will resume Friday night open swims on Sept. 13. The open swims will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at a cost of $2 per person.
Warm water arthritis classes will resume Sept. 10. Classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays through the school year. Class times are 3:30, 4:30, and 5:30 p.m.

Belpre churches host ‘gathering’
“The Gathering,” sponsored by Belpre area churches will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 14 at Civitan Park in Belpre. There will be music, games, food and more. The event is open to all residents of the Belpre area.

Pancake breakfast for a good cause
A pancake breakfast benefiting the Marietta Shrine Club will be held from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Marietta Applebee’s. The cost is $5. Tickets will be available at the door or in advance by contacting Ray at 629-5581.
The Washington County Local Emergency Planning Committee will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the new Washington County Emergency Operations Center, 204 Davis Ave., Marietta.
