Musical program at Marietta College
Marietta College’s Frederica G. Esbenshade Series will continue at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Alma McDonough Auditorium. The performance will feature Violauta Duo, guitarist Julio Ribeiro Alves and flutist, Wendell Dobbs who will take a musical look into foreign lands.
Washington State boards will meet
The Washington State Community College Board of Trustee Facility & Grounds Committee will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the administration office. The Board Of Trustee Finance Committee will meet at 3 p.m. Oct. 7 in the college’s administrative board room.
Dunbar Piers will be discussed at museum
Eldon Young will be at the Campus Martius Museum at 2 p.m. Oct. 6 to share pictures and the history of the Dunbar Piers and the railroad from Marietta to Athens. The event is free.
Open meeting to discuss conservation
The Washington County Local Work Group (LWG) Meeting is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. The meeting will be at the Washington County USDA Service Center Building, 21330 State Route 676 in Marietta. The meeting will be held in the conference room. The purpose of the LWG is to allow citizens of Washington County to provide guidance to the USDA – Natural Resources Conservation Service concerning the implementation and delivery of conservation programs.

Psychic readings to be held at The Castle
Psychic readings will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 6 at The Castle in Marietta. Featured readers will be Rejoyce, Bettie, Jayne, and Rhonda. The readers will be offering private individual sessions. Annual GOP Reagan Dinner is planned
The Washington County Republican Party’s annual Reagan Dinner will be held Oct. 10 at the Marietta Shine Club. The featured speaker for the event will be Dr. Terrence Moore from Hillsdale College.
