Pancake breakfast in Cutler today
A pancake breakfast will be held today from 7 to 11 a.m. at Cutler Chapel United Methodist Church, located on County Road 3 near Belpre. All you can eat sausage, eggs and toast for a free-will donation.
Order pizza, give to cancer research
A local pizzeria is offering breast cancer patients across the country a “Slice of Hope” next month. The Original Pizza Place, in the Grand Central Mall and downtown Marietta, are helping raise critical funding for breast cancer research by donating a percentage of their sales from Friday, Oct. 11, to the Karen Mullen Breast Cancer Foundation, a national charity based in Seattle.
Wesley Twp. bingo fundraiser
The Wesley Township Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will hold bingo on Oct. 12. Doors open at 5 p.m., bingo at 6 p.m. $20 for 20 tickets. Prizes from Pampered Chef and Yankee Candle. For more information (740) 551-9886.
Dinner at Bethel Community Center
The Bethel Community Center in Marr will hold a roast beef and roast pork dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 6. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Apple butter will also be for sale.
Free lunch at First Baptist Church
The Singles and Doubles Class of the First Baptist Church will offer its Sharing and Caring free community Lunch on Oct. 12, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the church, located at 301 Fourth St., in Marietta. All are invited to this free lunch.
Fall event at Good Fellows Park
An October Round-Up will be held Oct. 12 at Good Fellows Park on Ohio 550 between Marietta and Barlow. Gates opn at 10 a.m., rain or shine. Participants can bring yard sale and miscellaneous items to sell. Food and drinks will be available. Live entertainment begins at 1 p.m. and incudes Sunderman Family Bluegrass, Roy Bone Band, Gerb & Bluegrass Boys and 8-year-old Elvis tribute artist Hank Poole. Admission is $10 or free for those 12 and younger.
