Breakfast at Our Lady of Mercy in Lowell
There will be an all-you-can-eat sausage and pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Nov. 24 at the Our Lady of Mercy church hall on County Road 60/Lowell Hill Road in Lowell. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children.
Belpre BOE?to meet on Monday
The Belpre City Schools Board of Education will hold its next regular meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the Stone Administration/Early Learning Center.
Ohio 9-12 group will consider new leaders
There will be an emergency meeting of the Marietta Ohio 9-12 group at 7 p.m. Monday in the Parkersburg City Council Chambers, City Building, second floor. New leadership will be considered at the meeting.
Senior luncheon planned for Thursday
The next Marietta Township senior luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Marietta Township Recreation Center, 260 Sandhill Road, Reno. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish. Meat, drinks and tableware will be furnished. The meal is open to all seniors in the area.

Holiday grief program to be offered
A one-day session of “GriefShare-Surviving the Holidays” will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 23 at Sand Hill United Methodist Church. The seminar features video interviews with counselors, grief experts and other people who have experienced the holidays after their loved one’s death and who offer practical suggestions and reassurance. There is no charge for the seminar which will be held in the Child Care Building of the church located at 725 Sandhill Road, Reno.

History presentation at Cutler Center
James H. O’Donnell III, retired history professor from Marietta College and author of the book “Ohio’s First Peoples,” will give a presentation on “Rufus Putnam and the Native Peoples of Ohio” at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Cutler Community Center. Dave Zlatkind will play Native American flute music for the half hour prior to the presentation. Food and beverages will be available at the snack bar.
