Free gardening workshop offered

Gardeners are being invited for a second free workshop to build handicapped accessible garden tables and cold frames. The Marietta Community Garden class will be from 1 to 4 p.m. March 30, at Jubilee Gardens ( formerly Kardex) at 900 Greene St.

The second building workshop follows one Feb. 23 when 48 people – including a Girl Scout troop – built six cold frames with gardeners who then took them home to grove fresh vegetables.

Volunteers will be gathering more building materials for the garden table and cold frame building. Donations of clean and non-chemically treated wood are being accepted for the building day.
