Finance Committee to meet Tuesday
The Washington County Finance Committee will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Assembly Room at 223 Putnam St. in Marietta. The purpose of the meeting is to review the financial activity of Washington County through March 31 and the financial condition of the County as of March 31. The meeting is open to the public.
Auction to benefit Relay teams
A Relay For Life auction will be held Saturday at Tunnel United Methodist Church, 65 Coffman Road, Marietta. Doors will open at 5 p.m. with the auction at 6. Items sold will be homemade or handmade and will include cancer quilts, baskets, stained glass, wood items, baked goods, candy, tin ware, towels, baby items and more. Hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, homemade desserts and vegetables will be available for a donation.

Relay For Life fundraising event
The Relay For Life Team Jillybug will hold an Easter Bake Sale from 8 to 11:30 a.m. April 19 at Beverly-Center Elementary School. All proceeds will go to Team Jillybug to help raise money for the Washington County Relay For Life.
Oak Grove Easter egg hunt planned
The Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department annual Easter egg hunt will be held at the fire house at 1 p.m. April 20 for the Oak Grove community and West Muskingum Township families.
Basket Bingo for Wolf Creek baseball
Longaberger Basket Bingo will be held Sunday in the Waterford High School gym to benefit Wolf Creek Youth Baseball. Doors will open at noon and games will begin at 2. The cost is 20 games for $20 with an extra game for a large laundry basket. There will also be a 50/50, a country store, concessions and an early bird drawing.

Reserve spot for swim lessons now
Swim lessons at the Betsey Mills Club will begin April 19. Infant lessons will be given from 8:30 to 9 a.m., Level 1 from 9 to 10 a.m. and Level 2 from 10 to 11 a.m. The instructor is Tiffany Seiler, Red Cross certified water safety instructor. To reserve a spot, call 373-4981.
