Culvert replacement on County Road 4

Washington County Road 4 (Waterford Road) will be closed from B.F. Goodrich Road to Shamrock Drive on Monday for culvert replacement, weather permitting. Traffic will be maintained from County Road 4 onto B.F. Goodrich Road. In case of inclement weather the closure will be on Tuesday.

Bible Center holds Vacation Bible School

The Marietta Bible Center Church will hold its annual Vacation Bible School at 6 p.m. each evening starting Monday and going through Friday. Charles Chandler, a nationally known children’s evangelist, will lead the program with children’s games, songs, story telling and Bible lessons. Call the church office if transportation is needed for children.

Sewer repairs will impact Lancaster St.

The Marietta Wastewater Department will be making sanitary sewer repairs at 949 Lancaster St. on Monday. Access may be limited at times to allow for equipment and material access. Repairs are expected to be completed by Tuesday

Wrestling event returns, held at VFW

Remix Pro Wrestling will return Saturday with Freedom Fest. This event is free to current military men, women and veterans. It will be held outside at the VFW in Marietta, weather permitting. The backup location will be Marietta Middle School. An autograph session will be held at 6 p.m., with the event starting at 7 p.m. The event will feature seven big matches including former TNA X Division Champion Chris Sabin taking on Facade. Tickets are available at We Lov Pets in the Lafayette plaza.

Pony pull planned for July 4 at farm

Little Muskingum Grange will hold its annual Pony Pull July 4 at the Bill and Twila Bowersock Farm, 5331 County Road 9, Marietta.

There will be pony classes for light, medium and heavy weights along with measure weight teams beginning at 9 a.m. Food including chicken and noodles, sandwiches, drinks and homemade pie with ice cream will be sold. There will also be a country store and 50/50 drawings. Please bring a lawn chair for your comfort. All day entertainment $3 per person.
