Chamber event at Hampton Inn Thurs.
The Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly Business After Hours from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, hosted by Hampton Inn, 508 Pike St., Marietta. Business After Hours is an informal gathering hosted by a different chamber member each month. Appetizers and drinks will be served, and there will be door prizes, and a drawing for $500 Marietta Bucks. The cost is $5 for chamber members and $10 for the general public and members that want to be invoiced. Car show will be held in Oak Grove
The fourth annual Oak Grove Recreation Center Car Show will be held July 20 at 535 BF Goodrich Road, Marietta. Registration is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with awards at 3 p.m. There will be door prizes, concessions and a 50/50 drawing. The cost is $10 per car. Proceeds will benefit recreation center improvements.

Sewer repairs on Montgomery Street
The Marietta Wastewater Department will be making sanitary sewer repairs in front of 104 Montgomery St. Tuesday. Access may be limited at times to allow for equipment and material access. Signs will be posted. Repairs are expected to be completed by Thursday.

Right Path, Marietta College event
The Right Path for Washington County and Marietta College are hosting a Town Hall meeting from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Rickey Science Building, Selby Room 150. The Ohio Investigative Unit’s Michelle Anderson will conduct a server training for all area liquor establishments and convenience stores. In addition, Chief Deputy Mark Warden of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office will lead a discussion on opiates and heroin in the area. Refreshments will be available.
