Doll Collectors’ Club will hold annual sale
The Parkersburg Doll Collectors’ Club Annual Doll Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Belpre Senior Citizens Center, located at the intersection of Putnam Howe Drive and Washington Boulevard in Belpre.
Fort Frye meeting location changed
The location of the regular August meeting of the Fort Frye Board of Education at 6 p.m. Thursday has been changed to Fort Frye High School, 420 Fifth St., Beverly.
Rifle Club offering course for women
Women interested in learning to shoot or fine tuning their shooting skills with pistols, rifles and shotguns are invited to attend the Fort Harmar Rifle Club’s NRA Women On Target Shooting Clinic Sept. 27 at their outdoor range, 3120 Fifteen Mile Creek Road, Wingett Run. The clinic teaches gun handling and safety. The cost is $40 which includes a free T-shirt for those who pre-register by Sept. 15, lunch, a goodie bag, door prizes, ammo and guns.

Wildlife Refuge looks at aquatic life
The Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge will hold a “Looking under the waves” program for children ages 6 to 15 at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Find out about the aquatic life in our backyard. This program includes a hike, games and a craft. The program will be held at the Visitor Center at 3982 Waverly Road, Williamstown. Closed toed shoes are recommended. The program is free and about two hours long. This is a family activity and parents or guardians are required to be present.

Summer clothes sale Aug. 28 in Vincent
The thrift store of the Western Washington County Food Pantry, 18 High St., Vincent, will hold a $2 summer clothes bag sale through Aug. 28. Hours at the pantry are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 1 to 4 p.m. and 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
