A Washington Street resident was reported missing Friday morning and the Marietta Police Department is asking the public for assistance in locating the man. As a precaution first responders are currently patroling the Muskingum River looking for any sign of the man.
Robert Sam Dahler, 31, who lives in the 500 block of Washington Street, was last seen around 5 a.m. Friday walking across the Washington Street Bridge, according to Police Chief Rodney Hupp.
“Some clothing was found in the neighborhood of the Washington Street Bridge,” he said, but the chief could not release any more details about the clothing or other circumstances related to Dahler’s disappearance.
Dahler is 6 feet, 2 inches tall, and weighs 215 pounds.
Hupp asked that anyone who traveled through the Washington Street Bridge area between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. Friday and may have seen Dahler or know his whereabouts to please call Marietta City Police at 740-376-2007.
