¯On Nov. 28, Dave Chittum, loss prevention associate for Kmart, reported two counterfeit travelers checks that were presented on Nov. 18. The matter remains under investigation.

¯On Nov. 28, Brenda Farnsworth, of 122 Harmar St. Marietta, reported a domestic violence incident. Stephen L. McRhea, 54, was arrested for domestic violence after assaulting his wife during an argument.

¯Detectives investigated a report of child abuse at 784 Greene St., Marietta, on Nov. 30. Christopher L. Caldwell, 34, was arrested for child neglect.

¯At a traffic stop on Dec. 1, Steven E. Winland, 51, of 41152 Lickskillet Road, Woodsfield, was found to have an active felony warrant from Muskingum County for possession of cocaine. After an investigation of the car, a silver marijuana grinder and a glass bottle containing 22 schedule 4 pills was discovered and Joshua J. Winland, 20, of 406 Prospect St., Marietta, admitted ownership of these items and was placed under arrest. Steven E. Winland was also arrested.

¯Vienna police arrested Marcia M. Edwards, 47, of 1002 Hadley Lane, Marietta, on Dec. 1 on a warrant and she was transported to the Washington County Jail.

¯Justin Knapp, of 20000 State Route 676, Marietta, reported a theft complaint on Dec. 1. He reported tools missing from his jeep as well as a big bone game hunter compound bow.

¯On Friday, an officer responded to a passed out man in a person’s car. Caleb A. Harman, 21, of 745 1/2 Glendale Road, Marietta, was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication and taken to jail.

¯Deputies responded on Sunday to Wendy’s on Pike Street in Marietta in reference to a theft by an employee. The investigation is still ongoing.

¯On Monday, Jennifer D. Science, 43, of 1421 Lancaster St., Apt. 101E, was  pulled over for expired plates and was found to have methamphetamine packed and ready for sale and was arrested. Corey L. Smearman, 28, of 570 Albright Road, Beverly, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and arrested for trafficking as well as a warrant for his arrest. Holly D. Forinash, 29, of 411 1/2 Third St., Marietta, was arrested for possession of drug abuse instruments.

¯On Monday, Walmart on Pike Street reported a female shoplifter who had tried to steal two car batteries. A summons for theft was issued for Tricia Blair.

Reports/Washington County

¯On Friday, deputies arrested Timi A. Walters-Wade, 20, of 8285 Muskingum River Road, Lowell, for falsification after she allegedly admitted to providing false information during an investigation. A warrant was requested for Adam W. Howell, of 131 South First Ave., Paden City, W.Va., for telecommunications harassment and aggravated menacing after Wade reported in a written statement he tried killing her unborn twins and succeeded in killing one of them after kicking her stomach. After further questioning, she admitted to lying to the detectives.

¯On Friday, deputies responded to Waterford High School in reference to student(s) possibly having alcoholic beverages at the school. This case remains under investigation.

¯A deputy along with the Little Hocking Volunteer Fire Department responded on Friday to 925 McGill Road, Vincent, in reference to a man who had fallen. The homeowner, James M. Olson, was located at the bottom of the steps. The fire department personnel arrived to assist Olson. No foul play is suspected.

¯Deputies were dispatched on Friday to 10850 State Route 550, in reference to Jason R. Stevens, 42, of 405 Warrior Drive, Barlow, accusing the resident of stealing his marijuana. Deputies found Stevens at his home in which Stevens gave permission to search his residence. Located were several items of drug paraphernalia, i.e. grinders, glass smoking devices and scales. Stevens was advised that he would be summoned into Marietta Municipal Court for possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

¯On Saturday, deputies responded to Watertown Township to a possible domestic incident. Upon speaking with all parties it was determined this incident was unfounded.

¯On Saturday, deputies responded to 3400 Rainbow Road, to a domestic violence complaint. Justin Oliver, of 3400 Rainbow Road, Lowell, reported he was slapped by his live-in girlfriend Charlene R. Mowery, 32. Oliver refused a protection order and Mowery was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail where she submitted to a portable breath test, with the results being .123.

¯On Saturday, Lula M. Vensel, of 4625 State Route 555, Little Hocking, reported a license plate missing from the rear of her vehicle. This case remains under investigation.

¯On Saturday, Teresa Hoylman, of 4401 Sparling Road, Waterford, reported a domestic violence incident with her boyfriend Christopher S. Miller, 46. Miller denied pushing Hoylman, but was placed under arrest for domestic violence. Hoylman requested a temporary protection order. Once at the Washington County Jail, Miller was given a portable breath test with the results being .127.

¯The Washington County Sheriff’s Office began a missing person investigation on Monday after it was reported that Jess D. Dixon, 34, 5’9″, 150 lbs., blond hair, blue eyes, of 22883 State Route 339, Beverly. Dixon was last seen Friday and drives a primer black 1988 Chevy truck with Ohio plates.

¯On Saturday, Allyson Lewis, of 1720 Hupp Road, Beverly, reported a domestic incident that occurred between Dec. 1 and Dec. 2 at a residence she shared with Zackariah H. Earley, 27, of 176 Dana Road, Newport. As a result of this incident, Lewis requested a protection order be issued. A warrant is being requested through Marietta Municipal Court for domestic violence on Earley.

¯Deputies along with the Newport Volunteer Fire Department Squad assisted in locating a subject on Sunday who was heard yelling for help in a wooded area off of Williamson Avenue, New Matamoras. The subject was located in the wooded area and was given medical treatment for possible injuries.

¯A deputy on Monday responded to River Lane, Marietta, to retrieve a backpack that had washed up on the bank. The backpack was obtained and returned to the owner.

¯A deputy met with subjects in reference to a fake Facebook account set up in their daughter’s name on Monday. This case remains under investigation.

¯Deputies responded on Monday to Decatur Township in reference to a possible domestic/assault incident. In speaking with all parties involved it was determined to be unfounded.

¯On Monday, deputies responded to Waterford High School in reference to an assault. A juvenile was charged with assault and was transported to the Washington County Juvenile Center.

¯Angela M. Evans, of 504 Sixth St., Lowell, reported items missing from her home on Monday. This case remains under investigation.

¯Law enforcement spoke with Benjamin L. Bowers, of 1530 Nichols Road, Whipple, on Monday in reference to his debit card being used by unknown subject(s) to make purchases. This case remains under investigation.

¯On Monday, a deputy responded to 1610 State Route 339, Belpre, to meet with John M. Cox who reported numerous items of value removed from his home. This case remains under investigation.

¯On Monday, deputies along with the Salem Volunteer Fire Department Squad responded to Dalzell Road to an unresponsive female individual. No foul play is suspected.

¯On Tuesday, a deputy met with Grace J. Wunderlich, of 1526 Swift Road, Waterford, in reference to damage done to her 2001 Chevrolet truck. This case remains under investigation.

¯On Tuesday, deputies were dispatched to 105 Dunedin Road, Marietta, in reference to a 911 hangup call. Daniel W. Lane, 56, was arrested for domestic violence and disrupting public service after he allegedly attacked his father when the two were engaged in an argument.

¯Jonathan C. Whatley, of 1133 Market St., #103, Parkersburg, for failure to appear.

¯Willie Bernard Moore, last known address of 815 Fifth St., Marietta, for failure to appear.

¯Cheyanne Natasha Nikole Kirl, of 502 Parmaco St., Apt. 1, Parkersburg, for failure to appear.

¯Terry Brian Fox, of 317 Walnut St., Belpre, for failure to appear.

¯Robert Edward Carpenter, of 304 Maple St., Marietta, for failure to appear.

The following suspects were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

¯Ashley R. Bules, 22, of 416 Sixth St., Lowell, was arrested on Friday for a probation violation, a misdemeanor.

¯Matthew S. Johnson, 38, of 60 Tressel Hill Road, Marietta, was arrested on Friday for a probation violation, a misdemeanor.

¯Timi A. Wade, 20, of 8285 Muskingum River Road, Lowell, was arrested on Friday for falsification, a misdemeanor.

¯Timothy E. Boram, 32, of 40 Wildwood Drive, Parkersburg, for theft, a misdemeanor. Boram was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail and processed into the Washington County Jail on Friday.

¯Gretchen D. Bragg, 46, of 3506 Utah Road, Ravenswood, W.Va., was arrested on Saturday for theft, a misdemeanor.

¯Khaled A. Alwuhaib, 19, of 215 Fifth St., Marietta, was arrested on Saturday on a warrant for driving under suspension, a misdemeanor.

¯Charlene R. Mowery, 32, of 3400 Rainbow Road, Lowell, was arrested on Saturday for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

¯Christopher S. Miller, 46, of 4401 Sparling Road, Waterford, was arrested on Saturday for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

¯Shkelzen Lacaj, 25, of Marietta, was arrested on Sunday for OVI, speed and OVI .08 more/less than .17, all misdemeanors.

¯Jesse S. Books, 34, of 122 Harmar St., Marietta, was arrested on Sunday on warrants for theft, a felony, and drug instrument possession, a misdemeanor.

¯Dorsey L. Caviness, 45, of 620 ¢ East Lawn Ave., Parkersburg, was arrested on Sunday on warrants for DUS, no registration, FRA suspension and fictitious plates, all misdemeanors.

¯Jennifer D. Science, 43, of 1421 Lancaster St., Marietta, was arrested on Monday for trafficking in drugs, a felony, FRA suspension and no plates, both misdemeanors.

¯Holly D. Forinash, 29, homeless, was arrested on Monday for drug instrument possession, a misdemeanor.

¯Corey L. Smearman, 28, of 570 Albright Road, Beverly, was arrested on Monday for trafficking in drugs, a felony, and obstructing official business, a misdemeanor.

¯Jesse Eugene Stoops, 32, of 24500 Mountain Bell Road, Coolville,  was arrested Monday for theft, criminal mischief and two counts of failure to appear, all misdemeanors.

¯Samantha Jo Streight, 28, homeless, was arrested Monday for probation violation, a misdemeanor.

¯Amanda Elizabeth Parrish, 24, of 26561 Main St., Coolville, for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Parrish was picked up at the Southeastern Regional Jail and processed into the Washington County Jail on Tuesday.

¯Daniel W. Lane, 56, of 105 Dunedin Road, Marietta, was arrested on Tuesday for disrupting public service, a felony and domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

¯Corey L. Lang, 23, of 2915 Plum Run Road, Waterford, was arrested on Wednesday for OVI, speed 55 zone, drugs possession and drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.

¯Skyler M. Paul, 24, of 1314 Glendale Road, Marietta, was arrested on Wednesday for drug instruments possession, suspension and left of center, all misdemeanors.

¯Jordan L. Walker, 26, of Ohio 7, Lot 78, Marietta, was arrested on Wednesday for nonsupport of dependents, a misdemeanor.
