Bigfoot discussion at the Barlow Library

The Barlow Library will be hosting a free program “Ohio Night Stalkers” Saturday, Oct. 7 at 1 p.m. Join M. Feltner & M. Miller, Bigfoot researchers & lecturers as they discuss their field research and photographic evidence. They will share stories, footprint casts, and their thrilling audio tracks from the chilly night in Oct 2014 when they were followed in Adams County Ohio. This event is free and open to the public.

Register for Fall Story Hour, New Matamoras

Registration is now under way at the New Matamoras Library for their Fall Story Hour program. Story Hour is an interactive program designed for 2-through 5-year-olds and their parent/caregiver. The program features stories, crafts, creative play and music while encouraging interaction with other children. Programming began Sept. 6 and continues Wednesdays at 10:00 at the library. Reno Water and Sewer District will be having a regularly scheduled meeting Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. in the Reno Water and Sewer District office at 170 Mount Tom Road, Marietta.

Dice Run sponsored by Order of Eagles

Saturday, Sept. 23, is the Run with the Eagles Dice Run. Sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3665, 110 5th Street, Beverly. All vehicles welcome. First out at 11 a.m. Last out by 1 p.m. $10 single/$15 couple. Food, door prizes, 50/50 and more.

Legion Post 750 will have steak/chicken fry

American Legion Post 750 Lowell, Ohio will have a steak or chicken breast fry Sept. 16 2017 at Post hall, Main Street, Lowell; serving 5 to 8 p.m. Eat in or carry out. Steak cooked to order, chicken breast, or no meat meals. All meals come with a bread, salad and baked potato, free coffee.

The Cobras to perform at Marietta Shrine Club

The Cobras are coming Friday, Sept. 15, to the Marietta Shrine Club. Old time rock and roll at its best. Doors open at 7 p.m., dance 8 to 11 p.m. There will be a cash bar and food. Cost is $10 single, $15 couple (advance), $20 at the door.

Win tickets to ‘Dracula’ during zombie walk

Mid Ohio Valley Players will be giving away two pairs of tickets to a performance of “Dracula” at the 2017 Marietta Zombie Walk in Harmar Village. Face painting and a special “selfie” station will also be set up at the booth. The event will be held Oct. 7 beginning at 2 p.m. “Dracula” will be performed later that evening at MOVP on Putnam St. at 8 p.m. Rated PG. www.movp.org.
