Adams Twp. will clear roads during the day

Due to funding and for the safety of employees the roads in Adams Township will be cleared and treated during daylight hours and after the storm has passed. Anthony Hill and Schau Hill will be cleared and treated when it is safe to do so, please use alternate routes. Please use caution when traveling on township roads during inclement weather.

2018 organizational meeting planned

The Muskingum Township Trustees will hold their 2018 organizational meeting at 9 a.m. on Dec. 29 at the Townhall. This will be followed by their regular meeting.

Fundraiser for HSOV throughout December

The eighth annual They Light Up Our Lives fundraiser for the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley has begun and will continue throughout the month of December.

Remember and honor the pets that have enriched your lives by symbolically buying a light for $5 per pet on the Christmas tree displayed at American Flags and Poles store on Front Street. Pictures of your pets are also being accepted to be put on the tree.

Forms can be picked up at all veterinarian offices, the HSOV and many businesses. They can be dropped off at the HSOV and American Flags and Poles store throughout December.

All proceeds will go to the HSOV.

$2 bag sale at thrift store ends Thursday

A $2 bag sale is underway until Dec. 28 at the thrift store of the Western Washington County Food Pantry, 18 High St., Vincent; hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday; not open on Thursday night; for information; 740-678-1065 or 740-678-2189.

TOPS weigh-in and meeting is today

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) OH 399 weigh-in and meeting will be from 6:15 to 7 p.m. today at First Church of the Nazarene, 100 Mill Creek Road, Marietta.

Year-end meeting for Liberty Township

Liberty Township will hold their year-end meeting at 7 p.m. Dec. 28 at the township building.

Health department reopens Wednesday

The Washington County Health Department will be closed today in observance of Christmas, and will reopen for business on Wednesday, Dec. 27, at 8 a.m.

O’Neill plans financial workshops in January

O’Neill Center will be sponsoring financial workshops beginning Jan. 12 at 9 a.m. This five-week set of workshops is presented by Kim Luft, financial advisor for Edward Jones. There will be coffee and brunch. Participants will get binders and certificates of completion, as you go along.
