4-year-old selected for dance magazine

JANELLE PATTERSON The Marietta Times Addie Johnson, 4, of Marietta, marvels over photos of herself appearing in the Glamour Costumes' Jazzy magazine Thursday.

Addie Johnson, 4, of Marietta, was selected in a nationwide dance model search for the recital and competition dance costume company. She traveled with her parents to New Jersey this summer for a professional photo shoot in six costumes with her hair and makeup crafted by the company as well.

“My first favorite is the blue one, it’s sassy,” she said on Thursday. “Then the pink one and last the yellow one.”

Her mother, Stacey Johnson, owns Stacey’s Dance Studio on Pike Street.

“But it was cool to not be there representing the studio or be ‘Miss Stacey’ there,” she added. “There I was just mom, proud and picking out costumes I loved too that I want to see on my kids for our recitals and competitions.”

Addie said her favorite part of the trip was wearing “flutter” lashes and getting her makeup done, plus eating out and staying at a hotel.
