Two drug arrests for task force

An investigation by Agents of the Ohio Organized Crimes Investigations Commission, Washington Morgan Noble Major Crimes Task Force resulted in two drug-related arrests on Friday.

Agents executed a search warrant at 710 Front St., Apt. 6, Marietta and made contact with Darren Edwards. Edwards agreed to speak with agents and admitted to being a crack cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamine user, according to a release from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Agents located 84.42 grams of methamphetamine (field tested positive for methamphetamine) and a small amount of “crack” cocaine, marijuana, a loaded Smith & Wesson Bodyguard .380 caliber handgun and various other paraphernalia.

Additional members of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Marietta Police Department executed a search warrant at 314 Lancaster St., Marietta. Agents met with Santravis Donte Cobb Sr. and located approximately $3,000, 1 ounce of marijuana and cell phones.

Santravis Donte Cobb Sr., 38, of 314 Lancaster St., Apt. B, Marietta, was placed under arrest on a charge of conspiracy to drug trafficking, a second-degree felony.

Darren Michael Edwards, 51, of 710 Front St., Apt. 6, Marietta, was placed under arrest on a charge of trafficking of methamphetamine, a second-degree felony, and weapons under disabilities, a third-degree felony.
