The Mid Ohio Valley Beekeepers’ will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Washington County Career Center, Marietta. West Virginia Master Beekeeper Steve Roth will present a program on basic honey bee biology. Visitors are welcome.

There will be an antique appraisal from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 27 at Waterford Elementary School. Appraisers will be Randy Clark of Auction House, Larry Hall of Baker & Baker and Barbara Dernberger. The cost is $5 for the first item and $3 for each additional item. Contributions from this event will go to Lower Muskingum Historical Society for improvements at the Oliver Tucker Museum in Beverly.

The Ohio chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and the Washington County Behavioral Health Board invites the public to attend an informational presentation about NAMI and how a local chapter can assist, support and advocate for individuals living with mental health disorders and their family and friends. The event will be in the Community Room at Washington State Community College from 4 to 5 p.m. Oct. 23. Refreshments will be served.

The Finance Committee of the Warren Local Schools Board of Education is scheduled to meet at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Warren Administration Office, 220 Sweetapple Road, Vincent.

A Pioneer Ladies Civitan Style Show and Salad Supper will be at 6 p.m. today at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 308 Gilman St. Doors open at 5 p.m. Admission is $15. There will be fashions by Peebles, CATO and Christopher and Banks and a purse auction by Williams Auctioneer. Door prizes will be drawn all night and raffle tickets will be sold.

A community luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Barlow Presbyterian Church. The menu will be chili, potato soup, pimento spread, bologna salad, slider buns and desserts. Barlow Presbyterian Church is located at Ohio 550 and Warrior Drive in Barlow.
