Muskingum Township is studying corridors for the multi-use trail that will connect Devola and Marietta. The township will host a public meeting to present the corridor paths and provide an opportunity for public comment. The meeting will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Devola Volunteer Fire Company, 1286 Masonic Park Road. Project consultants will give a presentation followed by an open house format. A fundraiser for the Palmer Community Center Playground will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Palmer Community Center on Ohio 676. The meal will include spaghetti, salad, rolls, dessert and drinks. The cost is a donation. There will also be a country store. All proceeds go the new playground. The event is sponsored by the Oak Hill Ladies Aide.
Fall Clothing and More Give-Away and Community Lunch will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 10 in the Gilman United Methodist Church fellowship building, hosted by the Gilman UMW. Bring in clothes that don’t fit and items you don’t use, want or need and donate them. There is no cost or admission. There will be clothing, shoes, books, household items, etc., along with a soup and hot dog lunch.
Items may be dropped off at the church from 8 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday starting Nov. 5 Set-up will begin 6 p.m. Nov. 7. For information, call the church Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to noon at 740-373-6478. The church is located at 312 Gilman Ave. in Marietta.
A used book sale at the Barlow Branch Library will be held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Hervida 4-H Camp, Inc. will be holding its annual Building Fund Drawing and Silent Auction on Nov. 10 at the K of C Hall in Churchtown. A turkey and ham dinner will be served at 6 p.m. followed by the silent auction and reverse raffle drawing with the top prize of $3,000. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at the Cooperative Extension office at 202 Davis Ave. Marietta. Need not be be present to win.
