The Marietta High and Marietta Middle school choirs will present their holiday concert at 7 p.m. today in the Marietta High School auditorium. There is no cost to attend but there will be raffle tickets sold for a “gift wreath” valued at close to $800 worth of gift cards, certificates and other items. Tickets for the wreath raffle are $1 each, six for $5 or $10 for an arm’s length and will be sold beginning at 6 p.m. The wreath was donated by A Unique Flower & Gift Shop. Come hear beautiful music performed by Vocal Point, Cantabile, the high school and middle school choirs and help to support the Marietta Choir Booster program. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The Monroe County Port Authority will meet at the Monroe County JFS office at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The City of Marietta Treasurer and Income Tax Offices will be closed Dec. 24-26 in observation of Christmas.

The office will resume regular business hours at 8 a.m. Dec. 27.

A free community meal (ham) will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Tunnel United Methodist Church in celebration of Christmas. The meal will be served in the festively decorated multi-purpose building. Those at the meal are invited to sing carols, and Santa will be there with a gift for each guest. The public is invited. Tunnel UMC is located at Ohio 550 and Coffman Road. Handicapped parking is available in the upper parking lot by the church entrance. The annual Breakfast with Santa will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Belpre Heights United Methodist Church at 720 Clement Ave. Everyone is welcome.

Santa and the Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department will be touring the Oak Grove area with treats for the children on Sunday. Starting at 1 p.m., children should listen for the fire engine’s siren to announce Santa’s arrival on their street.
