GriefShare free program for help and encouragement after the death of a loved one will meet weekly for 13 weeks at Gilman United Methodist Church, 312 Gilman Ave. The meetings will be from Feb. 14 through May 9 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Light refreshments will be served and brown bag lunches are welcome. Facilitators will be Vivian Brown, Lucy Scott and Debbie Mincks.

A landslide repair project will begin Thursday on Ohio 821 in Washington County.The project is taking place between Lindamood Road (Township Road 74) and Elba Hill Road (Township Road 308). One lane will be closed in this area. Temporary traffic signals and a 12 foot width restriction will be in place. The estimated completion date is Feb. 24.

The following Opioid Hub subcommittees of the Washington County Behavorial Health Board will meet as follows:

Opioid Treatment Subcommittee will meet on at 3 p.m. Jan. 28 at Life and Purpose, 207 Colegate Drive, Marietta.

Opioid Education Subcommittee will meet at 1 p.m. Jan. 30 at the Marietta City Schools Administrative Building, 111 Academy Drive.

Opioid Workforce Subcommittee will meet at noon Feb. 8 at the Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce Office, 100 Front St., Marietta.

The Opioid Hub Meeting is scheduled for 1p.m. April 11 at Gold Star Park, 801 Lancaster St., Marietta.

These meetings and all meetings of the Washington County Behavioral Health Board and its committees are open to the public.

The Mid Ohio Valley Beekeepers’ Association will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Washington County Career Center. Expo committee will meet at 6 p.m. Annual dues of $12 will be due at this meeting. This is the last meeting before the Honey Bee Expo on Jan. 26 at WVU-Parkersburg. New members are welcome.

The Beverly-Center Elementary PTO is holding a Thirty-One Bingo Fundraising event on Feb. 3 at the school. Doors open at noon and games start at 1 p.m. Concessions will be available. Tickets are $25 at the door or early bird tickets are $20 through students, PTO members or by contacting Megan Lockart at 740-350-6355. Must be 18 years old or older to play.

The First Unitarian Universalist Society of Marietta will be holding an African drum workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday conducted by master drummer Lawrence Greene. This will be the first in a series of monthly drum workshops. The workshop fee is $10 and advance registration is required. Drums will be provided to students who need them. Please call Rev.
