A community-wide job fair will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 4 at the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center on the Marietta College campus. Nearly 100 employers and service providers have registered to discuss job opportunities. The event is hosted by Marietta College, Washington State Community College, the Washington County Career Center, Building Bridges to Careers and Job and Family Services.

The Decatur Township Dumpster Days will be held on April 11 and 12 from noon to 6 p.m. and April 13 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for residents of the township. No remodelers or contractors, no tires.

Oak Grove Christian School, 535 B.F. Goodrich Road, will host an Anti-Bullying Spring Carnival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 6, featuring carnival games, inflatables, concessions, a country store and Kona Ice. All proceeds go to the anti-bullying club, Youth 2 Youth summer program and self-esteem workshop.

The O’Neill Center will host a free Elder Law Workshop series. On Monday, Melissa Evick will speak about powers of attorney; on April 8 attorney Ryan Smith will give an overview of estate planning; on April 22, attorney Jonathan Dehmlow will speak about long-term care planning. Each workshop begins at 4 p.m. and is open to individuals or families to attend. Call the O’Neill Center at 740-373-3914 to reserve a seat.

The Marietta Shrine Club will host the GoPacks Top Chef Challenge to fight food insecurity on March 29 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Local chefs will display their skills and create original recipes. There will also be culinary-themed live and silent auctions. The cost is $25 per person; tables for eight are available. Purchase tickets at The Cook’s Shop on 180 Front St., Marietta, or online at gopacks4kids.org/events.

Henderson Hall, 517 Old River Road, Williamstown, will sponsor a book signing event on March 30. Author of the newly published “The Hendersons, One Family’s Legacy,” Pamela Douglas Brust will be available to sign her book from 1 to 4:30 p.m. All proceeds from the sale of the book go to the nonprofit Henderson Hall.
