Free computer classes at Marietta library

The Marietta location of the Washington County Public Library, at 615 Fifth St., will offer free computer classes in April. At 1 p.m. Tuesday the class will be Digital Tablets – Working with Apps; at 10 a.m. Thursday the class will be eBooks at the Library; at 6 p.m. April 15 the class will be Using Computers – Working with Files; and at 10 a.m. April 18 the class will be Introduction to the Internet. Classes are two hours long; space is limited. To register, call the library at 740-373-1057, ext. 200 or stop by the library’s service desk.

Hydrant flushing now through April 12

Tri-County Rural Water and Sewer District will be flushing hydrants today through April 12. Customers who have brown water are to flush their service line until water runs clear.

Harmar Hill Watch Meeting today

A Harmar Hill Neighborhood Watch Meeting will be held at 7 p.m. today at Gold Star Park (formerly Lookout Park) in Marietta. Guest speaker will be At-Large Councilwoman Kathy Downer. Harmar Hill residents are invited and encouraged to attend.

Bronze sculpturist

at Riverside Artists

Riverside Artists Gallery, 219 Second St., Marietta, will host Alan Cottrill, a nationally-known bronze sculpturist from Zanesville, from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday. The art exhibition will feature Cottrill’s bronze statues, photos of their installations and discussion of his 26-step process.

Cabin Fever/Fire & Ice Party will be April 13

The third annual MOV Gift of Life Cabin Fever/Fire & Ice Party will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. April 13 at American Legion Post 64 in Marietta. Parmesan chicken or baked steak dinner will be provided by Joe Momma’s Kitchen. There will be music, raffles, games, a silent auction and a country store. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door and are available at Baker & Baker and Ketel1 in Marietta, and at Jim’s Gun Shop in Beverly. Tickets are also available by contacting members of MOV Gift of Life.
