The regular monthly meeting of the Independence Township Trustees will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at The Townhouse on Upper Archers Fork Road.

A special meeting of the Warren Local Schools Board of Education will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. The meeting will be held at Warren Middle School Band Room, 70 Warrior Drive, Vincent, for the purpose of having a work session and conducting business relating to the Ohio School Facilities construction project.

Beverly American Legion Post 389 on Fifth Street in Beverly will hold an all-you-can-eat Lenten fish fry from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. Fish will deep fried or baked and meals will include fries and coleslaw for $8. There will be music to follow by Sam Clark from 7 to 10 p.m. The public is welcome.

The next Blue Bag Lunch will be held April 9 at Democratic Headquarters, 229 Putnam St., beginning at noon. All are welcome to attend and join a discussion of current events.

Members and guests of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 52 and Auxiliary are encouraged to attend social hour and the regular meeting starting at 5 p.m. today at the DAV Hall, 835 DAV Road in Whipple. Food will be provided by Burger King. The regular business meeting begins at 6 p.m. and usually concludes by 7 p.m.

Auditions for the Mid-Ohio Valley Players production of Henry Miller’s “The Crucible” will be held on April 8 and 9 at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the First Unitarian Universalist Church at Third and Putnam streets in Marietta. A cast of 10 men and 10 women of a variety of ages will be needed.
