The Washington State Community College Board of Trustees will hold its monthly meeting at 4 p.m. Monday in the community room of the main building.

The First Unitarian Universalist Society of Marietta will host an African Drum Workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. April 20 at 232 Third St. in the Social Hall. Master drummer Lawrence Greene will conduct the workshop. The fee is $10; advance registration is required. Call Rev. Kat Hawbaker at 740-373-1238 or Shelley Khatib at 703-340-5502 to register. Drums will be provided for students who need them. This is the fourth in a series of monthly drum workshops at the church.

The final two sessions of music therapy for military veterans will be held at Marietta College, 508 Putnam St., in the newly remodeled studios. Sessions begin at 6 p.m. and will be held April 16 and 30. Learn about many forms of music and how it can be used to relax, relieve stress or tell a story. The facility is ADA accessible and set up with a variety of musical instruments. The Frontier High School Alumni Association Committee from the classes of 1969-1990 will host a golf scramble at 9 a.m. May 4. The entry fee is $200. The event includes 18 holes of golf, a golf cart, lunch, cash payout, door prizes and more. The association is seeking sponsors for each of the 18 holes; a sign with the sponsor name will be placed at a designated hole. Fee for sponsorship is $100 per sign. All proceeds go to the Frontier Alumni Association Scholarship fund.

The regular meeting for the Frontier Local Schools Board of Education is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Frontier High School library. The Finance Committee will meet at 6:45 p.m.
