Beverly American Legion Post 389 is sponsoring a public breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday. Proceeds go to American flag displays in Beverly and Waterford. The price is $8 for adults and $4 for children 10 and under.

The Washington County Democratic Women’s Group will meet Thursday at the VFW on Pike Street in Marietta. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. and the meeting will begin at noon.

The Camp Hervida Chicken BBQ and country store will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. May 4 at 1260 Camp Hervida Road in Waterford. The menu will include a half chicken or a quarter chicken, a baked potato, green beans, coleslaw, applesauce, dessert and beverages. Tickets are available at the door for $10 or $7. All proceeds benefit camp improvements.

The Pink Museum at Marietta College will present the life story of Frances Dana Barker Gage at 7 p.m. April 30 in Thomas Hall, room 103. Born in 1808, Fanny Gage led the charge for equal rights for women as an abolitionist fighting against slavery and a suffragette fighting for the right to vote.

Fairfield Township Trustees will sponsor a Spring Clean Up April 30 through May 5 at the Fairfield Township Building, 3955 Burnett Road, Cutler. Items must be placed into the dumpsters provided. Items that will not be accepted are tires, paint and hazardous materials of any kind, including chemicals. The cleanup is for Fairfield Township residents only.
