Free legal clinic will be offered July 17
The Washington County Bar Association, with the assistance of SEOLS, is offering a free advice clinic on the third Wednesday of every month from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 320 Second St. for Washington County persons unable to afford legal representation. The next clinic will be July 17. Walk-ins welcome.

Washington-Morgan Community Action is taking applications for backpacks and school supplies for children attending kindergarten through 12th grade. Applicants may apply at the agency office located at 218 Putnam St., Marietta, from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. Families must be at or under 150 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines to qualify. Applicants must bring proof of household income for 30 days, proof of county residency, name of school attending in the fall, grade the child will attend, proof of child’s age and Social Security cards of all household members.

Pancake fundraiser for Arc camp Sunday
The Arc Special Needs Camp annual pancake breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Knights of Columbus building on Franklin Street in Marietta. The menu will include pancakes, french toast, sausage, sausage gravy and biscuits. There will also be a silent auction. The cost is a donation.
Free concert given
by Barlow Library
The Friends of Barlow Library located on Ohio 339 will sponsor a concert July 25 beginning at 7 p.m., featuring the group Plan B. The concert will feature a variety of classic rock and country with a few blues numbers. The event is free and open to the public. Reserve a seat by calling 740-678-0103.
Community luncheon offered in Barlow
Barlow Presbyterian Church will hold a community luncheon from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. The menu will include chip beef gravy and creamed chicken over biscuits, green beans and desserts. Barlow Presbyterian Church is located at Ohio 550 and Warrior Drive.
