St. Mary Catholic School and Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption will hold a series of Fall Festival events at the school’s Parish Center on Third Street in Marietta. A fall auction will take place Sept. 27 at 7 p.m., including food and drink pairings by the House of Wines. A $60 ticket admits two. Super Bingo will be held Oct. 12 at 7 p.m.; doors open at 2 p.m. A free meal and several door prizes are included. The Washington County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society will meet Sept. 21 at 1 p.m. at the Washington County Public Library, 615 Fifth Street, Marietta, in the lower level meeting room. The speaker will be Judy Piersall and the topic will be “History of Cornerville, Settled 1807.” Visitors are welcome.

Aphasia Life will host the Stroke with Aphasia Products Fair on Sept. 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Buckeye Room at Broughton Nature & Wildlife Education Area. Attendees will be able to sample and view demonstrations of cutting-edge technologies for people with disabilities caused by a stroke, including OrCam MyReader Glasses. A community dialogue on the future of the Wayne National Forest will be held Sept. 15 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the social hall of the First Unitarian Universalist Society, 232 Third Street, Marietta. Snacks will be provided. Parking is available in the Huntington Bank lot adjacent to the church. Attendees are asked not to block the ATM or night deposit lanes.

The Operations Committee meeting of the Warren Board of Education is scheduled for Sept. 16 at 4 p.m. The Policy Committee meeting is scheduled for Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. and the Learning, Instruction and Curriculum Committee meeting is scheduled for Sept. 17 at 3:30 p.m. All meetings will take place at the Warren Administration Office, 220 Sweetapple Road, Vincent.
