Churchtown Community Crew

Churchtown Community Crew held their meeting on Dec. 2 at 1 p.m. at St. John School. The meeting was called to order by Marlee Stollar, vice-president. The 4-H pledge was led by Caroline Stollar and the American Pledge was led by Emma Poulton. Roll call was to your favorite Christmas song. Madison Wells gave the treasurer’s report. Erin Hague led the song “On Top of Spaghetti”. Caroline Stollar led the devotion “Just Right”. An energy report was given by Marlee Stollar reminding all to turn off Christmas lights when you leave your home. The Health Report was given by Caroline Stollar on eating right during the holidays. Madison Wells gave a Safety Report on snowboarding.

The club won first place in the fair booth display at the Waterford Community Fair.

Several families rode on the Sweetapple Farm Wagon for the Washington County Fair Parade.

Project members from our club participated in all three fairs.

The club field trip to the Waterford Boy Scout Camp was a success.

The club won the following 4-H County Awards: Banner Club, Club of Distinction, and a Superior with our scrapbook. Several members from our club received county awards and trip awards.

The club completed the Christmas Service Projects again. Gifts were purchased for children in need. The club members wrapped the gifts. Members also brought many items for the Washington County Food Pantry.

The meeting was adjourned by Haley Tornes and Erin Hague gave the second.

Members and advisors brought refreshments. The club also purchased pizza.

The next meeting will be in January. The club will elect officers and the installation will be in February.
