Goodwill workers attend Christmas dinner, receive awards
Marietta Goodwill employees attended its annual Christmas dinner in Cambridge on Dec. 9, where they were awarded second place in the district, which consists of 13 stores in all.
The store employees – one manager, Faye Pierpoint; two assistant managers, Judi Luke and Renea Ross; along with 13 other employees, James Buchanan, Edgar Science, Mike Yonis, Brenda Croston, Cathy Boice, Danielle Stafford, Ellen Karcher, Heidi Smith, Karen Johnson, Kaylie Wright, Linda Williams, Pan Lultrell and Sherly Morgenstern.
The store just recently held its monthly Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday, Dec. 15. Gifts were handed out to all of the children by Mrs. Claus and her elf, refreshments were served, hourly door prizes were given out, and the winner of the Christmas basket was drawn.
The Appreciation Day was enjoyed by approximately 300 people in all. January’s Customer Appreciation Day will be on Jan. 16 from (9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.)
Refreshments will be served and those who bring in two non-perishable food items will receive 20 percent of all clothing purchases, except new and priced items. The items will be distributed to local food pantries in the area.
