MC forensics team earns 6 awards
Over two days of competition (Feb. 23-24) at the Bowling Green State University Tournament, Marietta College’s forensics team earned six awards.
Eric Miranda ’15 (Olmsted Falls) earned two awards – third place in editorial impromptu speaking and fifth place in extemporaneous speaking.
CJ Maffris ’13 (Worcester, Mass.) and Chelsea Robinson ’15 (Sulphur, La.) teamed up to finish in fifth place in duo interpretation on both days of the competition.
Andrew Looker ’16 (Canton) also competed for the Pioneers.
Marietta competed against Belmont University, Bowling Green State University, Central Michigan University, Cornell University, Eastern Michigan University, Hillsdale College, Indiana University-South Bend, Malone University, Northwood University, Oberlin College, Ohio State University, Spring Arbor University, University of Kentucky, University of Michigan, University of Notre Dame, Washtenaw Community College and Western Kentucky University.
Dr. Tomeka Robinson, director of forensics, Dr. Jamie Moshin, assistant director of forensics, and Sabrina Wittekind ’12, graduate assistant, coach the team.
