BPA state winners advance to nationals
Two students from the Washington County Career Center Business Professionals of America (BPA) organization who competed at the state competition, which took place at the Hyatt Regency Convention Center, in Columbus, won the honor of advancing to the national competitive events, in Orlando, Florida, from May 8 to 12. From this event, those students who place in the top of their category will have the chance to move on to the international level.
Those students who will be competing at the national level:
– Advanced Office Systems & Procedures (fifth place): Michaella Webster is a senior in the Health Information Technology program and the daughter of David and Candy Clark of Waterford and Steven Webster of Belpre.
– Medical Office Procedures (fifth place): Summer Erb is a senior in the Health Information Technology program and the daughter of James and Holly Leary of Marietta.
