WCCC prom king and queen crowned

The Washington County Career Center held its 12th annual prom on April 20 at the Knights of Columbus hall in Churchtown.

The prom, which had its theme “Footloose” was attended by approximately 220 students along with chaperones and staff members.

Students crowned prom queen and king were Lyndsey Haas of Marietta High School, majoring in the Medical College Prep program and Cole Farley of Frontier High School, majoring in the Electricity program. Prom princess and prince were Jayde Heiss of Waterford High School, majoring in the Cosmetology program and Marcus Boothby of Waterford High School, majoring in the Building Technology/Carpentry program.

With the student council hosting the event, Career Center students have an opportunity to attend the Career Center prom as well as their home school prom.
