National American Miss finalist

Courtney Griffiths is a 13-year-old resident of Marietta. She is currently finishing her eighth-grade year at Warren Elementary School. Griffiths loves to dance and has been dancing for the past nine years. She has been a member of the Marietta Dance Academy Competition Team for the last five years.

Griffiths was recently selected as a state finalist in the National American Miss Pageant for the state of Ohio. She will be competing for the Jr. Teen Ohio title June 29 and July 1 in Columbus.

National American Miss is not a beauty pageant. This pageant is designed to help young girls like Griffith gain poise and self-confidence and it also helps them practice speaking publicly in front of a live audience, learn how to professionally interview with an adult and become actively involved with their local community.

All of the money that is raised through sponsors and fundraisers will help cover her entry fees for the pageant and the optional competitions that she will also be competing in.

Griffith is looking forward to representing Marietta and making her community proud at the state level of the pageant and hopes to have an amazing experience while making lifelong friends in the process.
