Woman’s Home Board meets

The Woman’s Home Board met in June for their annual luncheon meeting in the Social Hall of St. Marys Church with 15 members, the home manager and one guest present. Kim Meyer offered grace prior to the serving of the meal. During the luncheon a new member, Mary Dee Pugh was acknowledged and welcomed.

President, Beth Lepore introduced Rose Nardi from the Peoples Bank who gave her annual informative summary report on the status of the Washington County Woman?s Home Investment Account. She also answered questions raised by the board members.

The May secretary’s minutes were e-mailed/posted to members prior to the monthly meeting but no further action was taken due to the shortened business meeting. Treasurer, Jim Williams distributed his report to the board members.

Lepore reported that Phyllis Romine has tendered her resignation from the board and Kim Meyer will take over as chair for the publicity committee. Other items mentioned included contracting with Lowe’s for new windows to be installed in the front of the home and in the kitchen. A new sink will be purchased for the guest bathroom as part of its revamp.

Home Manager, Debi Stengel’s report included donations from Dorothy Peppel and from the family of Dorothy Gray. She also stated that staff evaluations are currently in the process of being completed.
