The Business Professionals of America organization at the Washington County Career Center elected its chapter officers recently. The chapter includes students from the Computer Graphics program and the Health Information Technology program.

Officers for the 2013-14 school year are President Corey Lewis, son of Betsy Boone of Fleming; Vice President Jamie Davis, daughter of Greg Davis of Marietta and Diana Heiss of Marietta; Secretary Jacqueline Stephens, daughter of Mary Stephens of Barlow; Treasurer Savana Smith, daughter of Tammy Smith of Marietta; Parliamentarian Brandon Nash, son of Dr. John and Victoria Nash of Marietta; and Historian Zachary Ferrier, son of Melissa Ferrier and Jeff Radabaugh of Belpre.

The Information Technology programs are a combination of high-level academic courses and state-of-the-art technology courses. Both programs of instruction provide opportunities for students to prepare for and achieve career objectives in business and computer occupations. Business Professionals of America is a student organization for high school and college students that help prepare for a world-class workforce. Through co-curricular programs and service, members compete in technical competitions, develop leadership skills, network with one another and professionals across the nation, and get involved in community service.
