BPA regional winners advance to state

Eight students from the Washington County Career Center Business Professionals of America (BPA) organization who competed at the Regional Competition, which took place at the WCCC facility, won the honor of advancing to the State competitive events, in Columbus, on March 13-14. From this event, those students who place in the top of their category will have the chance to move on to the National level.

Those students who will be competing at the State level are:

Advanced Word Processing: Maranda Lee is a senior from Marietta in the Health Information Technology program and the daughter of Doug and Myla Thomas of Reno and the late Steve Lee of Barlow

Fundamentals of Web Design: Corey Lewis is a senior from Warren in the Computer Graphics program and the son of Betsy Boone of Fleming

Keyboarding Production: Brittney Malone is a junior from Frontier in the Health Information Technology program and the daughter of Bernice Addlesburger of New Matamoras

Medical Office Procedures: Marissa Sarringhausen is a senior from Marietta in the Health Information Technology program and the daughter of Bill and Dawn Sarringhausen of Reno; and Savana Smith is a senior from Marietta in the Health Information Technology program and the daughter of Rick Smith of Harrisville, W.Va. and Tammy Smith of Marietta

Network Administration Using Microsoft: Billy Leedy is a senior from Fort Frye in the Computer Graphics program and the son of Karen Bevaque of Lowell; and Brandon Nash is a senior from Marietta in the Computer Graphics program and the son of Dr. John and Victoria Nash of Marietta

Presentation Management Individual: Kelsey Clark is a junior from Fort Frye in the Health Information Technology program and the daughter of Jay and Diane Clark of Hackney.
