Upcoming events and activities at the O’Neill Center at 333 Fourth St., Marietta, include:

Massage Appointments: added another day, the fourth Thursday of each month; call for appointment times and reservations.

Zumba Classes: 5:45 to 6:45 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday; $25 for six classes; Becky Lightfritz, ZIN Certified Instructor; open to the public; all ages.

Line Dance with Donnie Allen: everyone welcome, open to public; Day classes, Tuesdays, 9:30 a.m., $5 per class; evening classes, 5:30 to 6 p.m., Free Steps taught – 6 to 7 p.m., beginners $5, 7 to 8 p.m. – open dance.

Rhythm Moves: Monday 9:30 a.m.; Wednesday, 9 a.m.; Dance moves to music: 45 minute class- $3 per class or 6 classes for $15.

Fun & Fit Exercise Class: 11:30 a.m. to noon, Monday, Wednesday, Fridays, geared to seniors 50+; fun fitness class using bands, weights, low impact aerobics set to lively music; $12 per month.

Ohio History Series: 1 p.m., April 21, April 28, 1 p.m.; What do you know about Ohio History? Attend this special exciting series and broaden your knowledge! Guests are in for a special treat as Gary Williams, author and graduate of Marietta College, presents these topics from his four books that he has written. Williams recently moved to Steubenville, Ohio after retiring as a librarian in the Caldwell area. The fee for class is $8 for all 4 classes but may attend one or all of them: April 21 Underground Railroad; April 28 Civil War Generals of Ohio.

AARP Safe Driving Course: April 23, 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; The Safe Driving Program is a classroom driver improvement course designed for drivers aged 50 and older, although there is no age limit. This program developed by AARP can sharpen driving skills, help prevent accidents and keep older drivers on the road longer and more safely. For many people, the Safe Driving Class can also save money on car insurance. Ohio Law permits auto insurance carriers to offer a discount on premiums to qualified graduates of the approved AARP class. Policyholders should contact their insurance carrier for more information about such discounts. Registration forms can be completed by calling O’Neill Center, 373- 3914. The cost of the class is $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers. Checks are to be made payable to AARP.

Gardening 101: 1:30 p.m., May 7, 14, 21, 28; From the beginner gardener to the experienced, you will find the information offered in these workshops new and educational. Levi Morrow of the Ohio State Extension office will coordinate the master gardener speakers for each program topic. May 7- Design your garden- from raised beds, small planters to shared space, find the tips to design a garden that fits your needs. May 14- Vegetable Gardening- when to plant, what vegetables work best for small spaces and maintaining a vegetable garden thought growing season. May 21- What is a Pesticide- Fungicides, insecticides, and pesticides- What are you putting on your plants, and how do they work. May 28- Composting- Getting your soil ready for the next year, after producing veggies and composting throughout the seasons.

Grandparent babysitting safety tips: 1 p.m., May 12: As the summer approaches grandparents are enlisted as care givers for their grandchildren while parents are working. Learn safety tips, first aid and general tips to help make you day of child care fun for all. As important as first aid is; we will also offer snack options and activities to keep everyone busy. This free program is presented by Genesis Marietta Center. Please call to register.

Dinner with a Doctor: 5:30 p.m., May 12: Keeping with our “Safe Today; Healthy Tomorrow” the featured doctor will speak concerning safe living with our food, falls and wound care. Our dinner will also keep with the theme and be catered by Thrive Catering with safe local food being the main entree. This free dinner is sponsored by Interim Health Care, Genesis Marietta Center, Marietta Memorial Hospital , Emeritus, and Medi Home Health and Hospice.

Trips: Farm Tours, June 16, $60 per person, includes tour of Malabar Farm house and farm, lunch and a visit to Dawes Arboretum; Wheeling Island, June 25, $35 per person includes transportation, slot play, and a stop for lunch on your own at Melhman’s Cafeteria: Mystery Tour, July 2, $60; includes motor coach transportation to undisclosed location- historical tour in the morning, lunch included, and historical tour in the afternoon. The Wilds, July 14, $55; includes: transportation, in depth tour, lunch buffet, time to shop in gift shop. Ohio State Fair, July 29, $38; includes, transportation and entrance fee to Ohio State Fair, reserved tickets for the afternoon concert. Call 373-3914 for more details and itinerary for each trip.

Computer lab: Marietta College computer lab assistants are available from noon to 2 p.m. on Mondays; 2:15 to 4 p.m., Tuesdays; 2 to 3:30 p.m., Wednesdays; 10 to 11:30 a.m., Thursdays; and 2 to 3:30 p.m. Fridays.

Blood sugar and Blood Pressure Screening: Screening is available the first Wednesday and Thursday of each month from 8:30 to 10 a.m. provided by Marietta City Health Department and Ohio Home Care of Belpre.

Blood Pressure Testing: Testing available from 10 a.m. to noon the first and third Monday of every month.

Bible Study Group: Group meets at 10 a.m. the second and fourth Tuesday each month. Everyone is welcome to join this group discussing books of the Bible.

Quilting Group: Group meets at 9:30 a.m. every second Wednesday each month.
