Belpre Homecoming registration details announced

Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce is announcing registration details for participation in events associated with the 82nd Belpre Homecoming, to be held at Belpre’s Civitan Park July 31 through Aug. 2.

Featured events include the annual parade and pageants as well as the 2014 Belpre Mile race, sponsored by Memorial Health System, and set for Saturday, Aug. 2. Registration forms are available at the chamber office or on-line at

A cruise-in car show is set for Friday evening, Aug. 1. Call the Chamber office for details.

Registration forms for pageants, as well as display/vendor/crafter spaces, are available now at Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce Office, 731 Park Drive (next to Belpre Municipal Building) and on line through the Chamber website

Vendors and crafters are welcome in all categories. Crafters, home-based businesses and vendor fees vary according to type and needs. Non-profits are welcome at a reduced rate. Call Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce office for fee information.

Belpre Homecoming Pageants include Little Mister Belpre and Little Miss Belpre July 31 for Ages 5-8, Junior Miss Belpre, Aug. 1 for Ages 9-12, Miss Teen Belpre for Ages 13-16 August 2, and Miss Belpre for Ages 17-20, Aug. 2.

Deadline for applications to be received at Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce is July 7.

The Pretty Baby Contest will be held July 26 at Rockland United Methodist Church hall. 11 am is Baby Miss and Mister (0-12 months), followed by Tiny Miss and Mister (13-35 months) at noon, with Toddler Miss and Mister (36-59months) at 1 pm. Application deadline is July 17.

Included in the packet is an explanation of all fees and regulations.

In addition, registration is open for the annual Belpre Homecoming Parade set for Saturday, Aug. 2. Co-sponsored with Belpre Lions Club, the parade kicks off at 10 am. No fee is charged for parade participation. Entry forms are available at Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce office.
